WE ARE GOLD COAST BRICK CONSTRUCTION

Originally trained on the Gold Coast in the early 1990’s being indentured to some of the best bricklaying tradesman in Australia I learned the very important skills and knowledge that has been passed down from bricklayer to bricklayer.

These onsite skills were combined with the technical training that back then included concreting as well which has given me a very strong understanding to how the entire structural process of construction works.
Around 1998 relocating from the Gold Coast to Sydney gave me exposure to different styles of construction from the narrow terraces of Paddington to the grand designs of Woolaraha and Darling Point.

These high end project always were built with solid cavity brick construction using the best materials and the best architects Australia has to offer.

In 2006 I started my own Bricklaying company based in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs building and repairing new homes right through to Heritage listed buildings.

In 2015 Gold Coast Brick Construction was created after moving back up from Sydney. Since then we’ve created a lot of great projects.

  • Why choose masonry

    There are many reasons to choose brick or blockwork over other building products. Here are just a few.

    Fire Rating –

     

    • Bricks are basically fireproof and non-combustible which mean they will not aid the spread of fire. Bricks are kiln fired at over 1200 degrees so they can handle extreme heat and stay unaffected.

    Sound Insulation –

     

    • Brickwork and Blockwork has superior sound insulation from external noise. The heavy mass of clay brick masonry is best for acoustic insulation and is able to block low frequency noise. Brick has an inherent resistance to airborne sound and is able to block out machinery, amplified music and sounds of traffic

    Durability and Reduced Maintenance –

     

    • Brick is tough and permanent. Once it’s built it remains weatherproof and age proof. Brick doesn’t wear and requires little or no upkeep or repairs. There are a lot of new products on the market like foam cladding that has almost no resistance to any type of impact. Bricks will still have the same structural integrity for well over 50 years.

  • What is the timeline for the project?

    Each project is unique. As we take on many different types of projects with many different scopes of work the time scales for projects are very different. We make a schedule and create a realistic plan to complete each job in a timely manner.

  • What will it cost?

    As you can imagine how much a project will cost to complete will depend exactly on what is being built. What we can do for you is give the different options to you in regard to what materials or how we’ll build it and also give you the information about which options suit your job and which are the most cost effective solutions.

  • How do we get started?

    Firstly we’ll discuss the job and get a clear idea of what exactly you have in mind. Then we’ll come to a clear conclusion after weighing up all the options. Once we have that established we’ll get you a quote. The quote has all the details of what we will build you. Then it’s a simple as accepting the quote and the terms and we’ll book you’re job in!
